Put your classroom on wheels for a day of discovery and fun
Why choose us for your school excursion?
Learning about our beautiful city doesn’t have to be a yawn-fest. From the back of our rickshaws, your students will engage with Perth’s history, culture, and landmarks in a fun and meaningful way.
We’ll teach your students about the city through fun facts and activities at Perth’s most iconic spots. Then it’s off to WA Museum Boola Bardip for a guided tour.
With rickshaws, there’s never a dull moment. Your students will laugh and learn on the ride between each stop, and come to appreciate the wonder of their home city.
Our rickshaws and riders are 100% safe. The bikes come with seatbelts. Our guides go through safety training and have WWC cards. We’ll give you all the logistical info you need.
Our excursions consider the needs of all students, including those with disabilities and those who require wheelchairs. Everyone can have a fantastic day.
We tailor the excursion to your learning objectives. We stop where you want to, when you want to, and can incorporate specific educational themes.
Teach your students about sustainability by showing them, first-hand, the advantages of human-powered vehicles over cars.

What happens
- Arrival. You and your students arrive outside the WA Museum Boola Bardip to meet our riders and check out their awesome rickshaws.
- Greetings and safety. We tell you everything you need to know about the excursion and rickshaw safety. Then we sort you into two groups (assuming you’ve opted to split the group) and teams of 2 or 3.
- Departure. One group heads to the WA Museum Boola Bardip. The other group sets out to explore the wonders of Perth’s CBD.
- Excursion. The first group will enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of the museum while the other completes engaging activities throughout the city. If you aren’t customising the tour, the locations you’ll visit include Northbridge, Yagan Square, Forrest Chase, Murray Street, Hay Street, Elizabeth Quay, Wolf Lane, Stirling Gardens, and the State Buildings. Your students will learn about the history and culture of their city — from indigenous history, to the mining booms, to the world wars, to modern street art festivals, and beyond. We find this makes them way more excited to call Perth their home.
- Swap. After 90 minutes, the groups swap.
- Back to school. We return the first group to the WA Museum so you can get everyone back to school.
Booking process
When booking, you can choose to enjoy our excursion in one big group or split the group in half. If you split it, one group will explore the city on the rickshaws while the other visits WA Museum Boola Bardip. Then they swap.
The maximum number of participants (including students and supervisors) we can take in one group is 40. So if your group exceeds that number, you’ll need to book the split group option.
Please note that the split group option is also cheaper per person!
Seating arrangements
