My daughter, mum and I had the most amazing experience last night on one of your rickshaws with Sam. It was a surprise for my daughter whose birthday was the day before. Sam was fun, happy and a wonderful guide and definitely one we would recommend to everyone. The tour was wonderfully planned and we all had the best time. Listening to Christmas carols ducking and diving through crowds to see the Christmas lights on the back of a bike is a memory we will now talk about and cherish for years to come. Thank you so much for providing such a great opportunity for young and old. Definitely check it out and ask for Sam! You won’t regret it.

Just wanted to pass on our huge thank you to the team who hosted Carys’ 13th birthday on Sunday.  It was just exceptional and they all had such an amazing time.  The riders were so friendly and great senses’ of humour and handled 33 teenagers like absolute pros!  The challenges were awesome and I think the big kids aka adults also could have gone on longer lol (looking to see when we can book in our own tour).  This is definitely a hidden gem and it made Carys’ day extra special.

What happens

  • Arrival. The party arrives at Fremantle Visitor Centre to meet our riders and check out their awesome rides.
  • Greetings. We welcome the party, tell the kids all about the scavenger hunt, and sort them into teams of 2 or 3.
  • Warm-up. We play a little warm-up game, then jump on the rickshaws.
  • The Hunt. The party begins! It does for about 90 minutes. Hopping of at iconic spots around Fremantle, the kids will engage in a variety of fun challenges while they learn more about Freo! Each challenge will earn them points, so there’s some friendly competition on the day too!
  • Winners. After we’ve completed every challenge, we’ll take the party back to Fremantle Visitor Centre, tally up the points, and announce a winner. (Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to rig the scores so the birthday kids wins!)
  • Lolly bags. After that, we’ll give out lolly bags and hand the party back to you.

Seating arrangements

Our rickshaws can take the following combinations of passengers:

  • 3 kids
  • 1 adult and 1-2 kids
  • 2 adults and 1 kid
  • 1-2 adults

When making your booking, please consider the most economical way to divide the group. If you need help with that, just let us know!

What age do the kids need to be?

Our ideal age range for this event is kids aged 10 to 16.

How many parents need to be there?

We just need 1 to 2 parents/guardians to be there at the start and the end of the tour. They don’t need to join us on the tour, but they’re more than welcome to. Please account for this when making your booking.

How much experience do you have with children?

All of our Peddlers have Working with Children Checks, rickshaw safety training, and tonnes of on-the-job experience with kids, especially through our highly popular Christmas Lights Tours.
